      The Dreamer

      The Dreamer is an idealist.  They dream up new ways, new things, and new possibilities

      The Doer

      The Doer gets things done.  They execute ideas

      The Incrementalist

      The Incrementalist plays both roles.  They can drive like a Doer and they can dream like a Dreamer.

      Which one are you?

  • Forget I and Hyphen – Become T-Shaped
    • While Dreamers, Doers, and Incrementalists are perhaps more intrinsically tied to who we are – becoming a T-Shaped contributor is possible through concentrated effort and hard work.
  • Take Back Your Life in Seven Simple Steps
    1. Start to focus on what you’re doing with your attention.
    2. Take a few minutes every dayto define and write down the two or three most important things
    3. Do the most important activity first in the morning – for no more than 90 minutes
    4. Eliminate as much “insecurity work” from your life as possible.
    5. Keep a running list of everything that’s on your mind — in order to get it off your mind.
    6. Each time you go online to do anything, ask yourself “Is this best use of my time?”
    7. Systematically, train your attention
  • 6 Leadership Styles, And When You Should Use Them
    • The pacesetting leader – “Do as I do, now”
    • The authoritative leader – “Come with me”
    • The affiliative leader – “People come first”
    • The coaching leader – “Try this”
    • The coercive leader – “Do what I tell you.”
    • The democratic leader – “What do you think?”

Take two cups of authoritative leadership, one cup of democratic, coaching, and affiliative leadership, and a dash of pacesetting and coercive leadership “to taste,”
